We built something this month… now we get to live inside it 🌷

Happy Wednesday, Sweet Friends 🤍

Before we rush into a new month (because don’t we always?), I want to pause here with you for just a moment.

April wasn’t loud.
It wasn’t flashy.
It didn’t demand a big, dramatic transformation.

But it mattered.

This month, we built something steady.

We talked about rhythms.
About creating homes that feel like a soft place to land.
About Sacred Structure—not as restriction, but as support.

We picked things up.
We made simple meals.
We showed up in small, consistent ways.

And maybe it didn’t feel like a huge shift…
…but these are the kinds of changes that quietly change everything.

✨ You created space.
✨ You built trust with yourself.
✨ You proved that you can take care of your life in a way that feels calm instead of chaotic.

And now?

Now we get to live inside it.

🌷 Welcome to May: Simple Pleasures

If April was about building the foundation…
May is about softening into it.

This month, we’re leaning into:

  • Slow living
  • Mindful meals
  • Everyday luxury
  • Joy that doesn’t need a special occasion

Because here’s what I keep coming back to:

Everything becomes a reason to celebrate when you decide it is.

Not when everything is perfect.
Not when you finally “get ahead.”
Not when life feels completely put together.

Just… now.

✨ What We’re Exploring This Month

Each week in May will gently guide you back to yourself, your home, and your people:

Week 1: Everyday Rituals
Turning ordinary moments into something sacred

Week 2: Simple Dinners
Effortless meals that feel beautiful and nourishing

Week 3: Romanticizing Life
Finding joy, beauty, and gratitude in the middle of your real, everyday life

Week 4: Easy Weekend Gatherings
Inviting people in—without the pressure, without the overwhelm

🥂 And inside Sweetpea’s Supper Club…

May is our Garden Party Month.

Think:
Rosé in the golden hour
Simple, fresh menus
Herbs on the table
Soft linens, glowing candles, and nowhere to be but right there

It’s the kind of gathering that doesn’t try too hard…
but somehow feels like everything.

Because it is.

We’re not just hosting dinner parties.

We’re creating tiny celebrations of being alive.

And I want you there with us.

🌸 A Little Something to Carry With You

You don’t need to overhaul your life this month.

You don’t need a brand new routine.
You don’t need more time.
You don’t need to do it perfectly.

What if you just:

🍽️ Set the table for yourself
🕯️ Lit the candle anyway
🚪 Invited someone over
🥗 Made one simple, beautiful meal
🥰 Let things be easy for once

What if that was enough?

From my table to yours,
Ashley 🤍
Chez Sweetpea

Because one dinner party won’t change the world…
but how will it change yours?

Hi, Sweet Friend! My TEDx talk is officially live… and I keep thinking about you as I share it. At TEDx Asheville, I gave a talk called Dinner Parties Can Change the World — and while that might sound a little lofty, it’s really just this: A belief that choosing to gather still matters. That you don’t need a perfect menu or a perfectly clean home. That connection isn’t something we stumble into… it’s something we practice. This talk is a love letter to the table. To the messy dinners. To the...

Happy Wednesday, Sweet Friends! If you only host one way this spring… Let it be this. 👉 Patio Appy Hour. It’s not dinner. It’s not a full event. It’s just a window of time where people come, snack, sip, and linger. No pressure to stay all night. No pressure to make everything perfect. Just: • A few appetizers (This Happy Hour at Home Party was a winner last year!) • Something to drink • A place to sit And an open door. This is the kind of hosting that fits into real life. Which is exactly why it...

Hi, Dear Ones! You don’t need a big, elaborate spread to make people feel cared for. Sometimes, it’s the opposite. A small board.A thoughtful plate.Something made just for them. Mini boards are one of my favorite ways to host right now. These Individual Cheeseboards have been on my website since 2019, and I'm feeling rather proud of myself that this idea is long-lasting! ((Why wouldn't it be?! I made these because I'm selfish and wanted the perfect bites from the cheeseboard...)) They feel...
