Happy Wednesday! At the end of June, I sent a rather melodramatic email about how I'm tired I am of content creators who are ME focused. ((I'm tired for more than just that reason!)) I sent a quick little survey, and y'all delivered! I like to think I know my audience really well, so I assumed the results going in were going to be emailed once a week with a little bit of everything, and no one is interested in a paid subscription. << BINGO! Nailed it. But the comments were my favorite part!! "I enjoy the content you share. Keep on doing what you do." "I think you are adorable. Donβt change a thing." "I love your recipes and your thoughts on the recipes." "I like best about your content the realness of it. I donβt want to have to get a certain skillet, unobtainable spice, high priced blender or a subscription too see the recipe. Simplicity is always better, for me." There were MANY more that made my day! I've read them a few times just to get a little pep in my step! Thank you!! Y'all are just the best. So, with that... Let's get these newly formatted emails going, shall we?! Who needs a couple of recipes to get you through the weekend?! This month on Instagram, we're "Grilling and Chilling!" This week specifically, I'm diving deep into all the ways you can bring the Steakhouse Home! That Potatoes Romanov casserole has gone semi-viral, and I can say it's worthy of virality! I am not a fan of all the "deal days" happening this month, such as Walmart, Target Circle Days, and Prime Day. While you *can* find some great deals, if you do not NEED it, and you do not have a use for it... Put that money somewhere else. No need to clutter up your home with items influencers tell you to buy! I do have a list going for Prime Day of my favorite items. These are all items that I own and use, and I would gift them to all of you if I could! Alright, Sweet People! That's all I've got for you today. Is anything exciting coming up in your world? We're cruising through July, and I'm already scheming of my Holiday Plans! ((Behind the Scenes: Thanksgiving recipes are soaring in Pinterest... which makes me feel like I am SO BEHIND for content creation! But, I am determined to live in the season!)) Heaps of Love, Y'all! Have a great week! XOXO, Ash |

I'm declaring it: The fall semester at Chez Sweetpea is officially in session. π There will be no exams. Attendance is extremely flexible. Snacks are encouraged. And the syllabus mostly consists of making our homes feel good, feeding ourselves well, and creating enough margin that we're not losing our ever-loving minds by the time the holidays arrive. Seems reasonable, yes? All this back-to-school energy has me craving rhythm again. I also start feeling this way when you can tell the seasons...
There is something about back-to-school season that makes me want to buy a fresh notebook and completely reorganize my life. (Heck! I bought a whole new planner system that I've started to *think* about using!) And I don't even have children going back to school. π But every year, when I see the school supplies lining the aisles and hear my friends talking about first days, new teachers, lunchboxes, and earlier bedtimes, I get the itch to refresh my own routines. Not reinvent my entire life....
I have a tiny challenge for you this weekend: Make it feel like something. Not an event. Not a dinner party requiring three grocery stores, seventeen serving platters, and a nervous breakdown. Just... something. A little marker between the workweek and the weekend that says: Oh! We're enjoying our life now. β¨ Sweetpea's Little Luxury Before the weekend arrives, pull out one of the good things. The cocktail napkins you've been saving. The little appetizer plates. The wine glasses you think are...
